FINES, FEES AND PAYMENTS

    For any violation not listed above or if you are unsure of the amount to pay, contact the Court directly at 254-739-2518.  Failure to pay the correct amount could result in your payment being returned.

  • Occupational Drivers License

    • Filing fee = $54.00

    • We accept Company Checks, written within 90 days payable to Freestone County JP2.

    • We accept Cashier's Checks and Money Orders payable to Freestone County JP2.

    • All checks, money orders or cashier's checks payable to Freestone County JP2 may be mailed to

      OR dropped off with the Clerk at our office during regular business hours at

    • We DO NOT accept temporary NOR personal checks.

    • If making Cash payments, we accept exact change only and in person only.

    • Credit Card payments made through the Certified Payment System are charged a convenience fee in addition to the amount payable to the Court.

    • Remember Credit Card payments are accepted for Criminal Cases ONLY.
    • Over-the phone or Online payments are for ADULT criminal defendants age 17 or over, for criminal offenses committed after age 17.
    • We accept the full amount ONLY unless arrangements have been made with the Court to set up a payment plan (Installment Agreement).
      • Installment Agreements must be set up in person and require an initial payment of $50 per violation.  You will be required to sign an installment agreement contract.
      • The remainder of the balance due after the initial payment will need to paid in three installments over the next 90 days.
      • There will be a $15 installment fee per violation for all payment plans.
      • If you make a partial payment without setting up a payment plan with the Court, your money will be refunded and your citation/violation will remain OPEN or unresolved.
    • Submitting a payment with no plea or reply form, constitutes a plea of nolo contendere in accordance with the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure, Ar. 27.14(c) and will result in a waiver of a jury trial and a finding of guilty, which may be reported to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

  • To make a payment for an "old" citation/violation that HAS been turned over to collections and/or OMNI you will need to contact our collections firm, McCreary, Veselka, Bragg & Allen, P.C. (MVBA)

    You will need to have the Collection Agency's reference number to pay online otherwise you will need to make your payment over-the phone with them at the number listed above.

    REMEMBER!!!! 

    Submitting a payment with no plea or reply form, constitutes a plea of nolo contendere in accordance with the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure, Ar. 27.14(c) and will result in a waiver of a jury trial and a finding of guilty, which may be reported to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

    • Once you submit your payment in full to the Collections firm (MVBA), they will mail the court a check within 1-2 weeks.  Once that check is received, the Court will process the check payment usually within 48 hours. 
    • Once the payment is processed by the Court, notification to release the hold, if any, on your drivers license will be sent.

  • To make a credit card payment for a recent citation/violation that HAS NOT been turned over to Collections and/or OMNI you will need to contact Certified Payments

    Over-the-Phone at 866-549-1010 OR Online Payment Option

    You will need need to have the Precinct's bureau code (8413709) and a reference number (driver's license number or ticket number) on-hand.

    • The Court will process online payments usually within 48 hours.  It is your responsibility to ensure that payments are made in sufficient time to meet required deadlines.
    • Use of this service to submit payment constitutes acknowledgment that Freestone County and the processor of electronic payments assume no responsibility for data entered by service users.
